Can children use Reliefband®?

Reliefband® is recommended for children 12 years of age and older. This recommendation is primarily based on device fit and the child's ability to understand and control the therapy. Younger children may also be more sensitive to the sensation produced by the device.

Before using Reliefband®, your child should understand that the device produces a tingling sensation in the hand and fingers and be comfortable adjusting the intensity. We recommend starting at a lower intensity and increasing it gradually to a comfortable level.

Reliefband® is an FDA-cleared Class II medical device and has been used by individuals seeking relief from nausea. As with any medical device, we recommend speaking with your child's physician before use.

The Reliefband® Classic uses lithium coin-cell batteries. As with other small batteries, they should be kept safely away from young children.
